Meet Latoya

Latoya N. Dixon, Ph.D.

Dr. Latoya Dixon is a former teacher and principal.  As a product of Rock Hill School District 3, Latoya began her career as a middle school English Language Arts teacher after graduating from Clemson University in 1999. Latoya holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, an Educational Specialist degree, and a Doctorate of Philosophy from the University of South Carolina.

Latoya is known across the Carolinas not only for her expertise as a leader but also for her inspirational spirit. She enjoys reading and writing on her blog, Leading & Learning and recording her podcast #leadershipwithlatoya, which is available on iTunes.  She currently serves as a state-level education leader in South Carolina. Latoya is passionate and a fierce advocate of public education and equity. Her areas of interests include instructional leadership, strategic planning, and building productive and positive relationships. She has presented on these topics to a variety of audiences and in a variety of settings. Her presentations tend to be passionate and scholarly, yet practical and filled with things practitioners can put into action right now.  Latoya’s passion fueled purpose and contagious smile will warm your heart and push your thinking, all while inspiring you to be the absolute best you can be.  In the words of Latoya, Be you.
